It is an honor to be selected as part of the Panhandle Jr High School family and community.  I have received such a warm welcome and I can tell that our campus has a passionate, dedicated and committed staff who teach the whole child and not just the content.  This district has worked hard to become a shining star of the panhandle in both academic and athletic excellence.  I consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to build upon this proud history, culture of continued growth, progressive thinking and innovation.

I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Biology from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and my Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University.   As a life long learner, I continued my education at Lamar Univesity in their Education Leadership program.  My career as an educator has spanned two decades now.  During this time, I have taught a range of students from 3rd-12th grade from a wide variety of backgrounds and ability levels.  I recognized early on that I was drawn to collaborating with and supporting other educators.  This lead me to empower other educators as an educational consultant, an instructional and technology coach and eventually to seek my administrative certificate and principal roles.  All of this would not have been possible without the support and love of my husband Ed and my three kids, Alyssa, Justin and Cade.

Great schools are the result of great teachers.  My goal is to support the teachers of PJH and provide them with the tools they will need to be successful and help our students grow and prosper.  Our world needs outstanding citizens who have the skills and drive to make a difference in an ever-changing global society.  I believe we are all up for the challenge to empower our students to be this kind of future leaders.
